Timber Gate Plaza
Timber Gate Plaza is a four-acre commercial development located along Highway 265.
Owned and built by TORCARAE Developments, Timber Gate Plaza will help meet the growing needs of Candle Lake by bringing additional products and services closer to residents, seasonal property owners, and visitors.
The project supports the strategic priorities of the Resort Village Strategic Plan which include encouraging planned commercial growth, expanding local services, creating economic opportunities, and strengthening the municipal tax base. These priorities were identified through extensive research and with input from the community in the creation of various planning documents including the Resort Village of Candle Lake Sustainability Plan, the 55+ Housing Demands and Needs Assessment and others.
Project Timeline: Starting Summer 2026
Initial construction will include clearing the site and building a service road along the highway.
Please Note: While the service road is being constructed, a section of the Fun Run Trail will be temporarily closed, and pedestrians will be detoured through the ditch along Highway 265. Please use caution and follow all posted detour signs. This section of the Trail will be fully restored by the developer once the service-road work is complete.
